The Desert Heights Prep Yote suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 73-47 defeat at the hands of Salome. Desert Heights Prep has not had much luck with Salome recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Jibran Castillo, who scored 31 points for Salome. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castillo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jovany Calderon, who scored 15 points.
Desert Heights Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Salome, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Desert Heights Prep will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mayer at 5:00 p.m. As for Salome, they will head out on the road to face off against Bagdad at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
