Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indian River). They put the hurt on the Sussex Academy Seahawks with a sharp 59-33 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Indians as it put an end to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Indian River's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Sussex Academy, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lake Forest the next time they take the court. Sussex Academy will head out to face Lake Forest at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Indian River will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
