The Columbus Titans's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on St. Paul with a sharp 47-24 win. That 23 points margin sets a new team best for Columbus this season.
Columbus can attribute much of their success to Katy Mooney, who scored nine points along with nine steals. Mooney has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Simpson, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for St. Paul, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will take on Baxter Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Baxter Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for St. Paul, they will head out on the road to challenge Northeast on Friday.
