The Westside Rams will square off against the Laurens Raiders at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Westside will be coming into the  matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
While Westside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Laurens by a score of  8-4  on Monday. The game was the first time the Rams have beaten the Raiders on their field since March 10, 2015.

 Tyler Scott made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Jacob Holmes was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI.  Phoenix Herndon was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Westside pushed their record up to 6-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Laurens, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
