After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tamarac, Hoosic Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Emma Willard Jesters with a sharp 24-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hawks considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Lizzy Powers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Powers was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Izzy Finkle and Lainey Bochette did most of the damage at the plate: Finkle went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Bochette got on base in three of her six plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
