The Springboro Panthers will square off against the Centerville Elks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Springboro gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Wayne as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Bella Breen spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Riley Lucas and Kylene Seibel did most of the damage at the plate: Lucas went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles, while Seibel went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those two doubles gave Lucas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Slate, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Centerville came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Beavers by a score of 11-7.
Caitlyn Belcher made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Belcher was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natalie Carr, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Chayse Adkins, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Springboro's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Centerville, their win bumped their record up to 18-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Springboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Centerville struggles in that department as they've averaged .404. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Springboro might still be hurting after the 17-5 defeat they got from Centerville when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
