Softball Recap: Amory Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Amory lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Ripley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Panthers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Amory let Arianna Barron and Ella Gray run wild. Barron went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Gray scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, Gray posted two hits, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Mylie Williams, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Amory has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Ripley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amory will face off against Hamilton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ripley, they will venture away from home to challenge Shannon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
