Softball Recap: General McLane Comes Up Short

General McLane dropped down to 5-10 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 15-1 to the Harbor Creek Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in April.

As for Harbor Creek, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Harbor Creek's part, they let Addison Lucas and Brooklynn Cipalla run wild. Lucas went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double, while Cipalla went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one double. That's the most RBI Lucas has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. General McLane is set to face off against their familiar foe Meadville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Harbor Creek will square off against rival Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
