The Ogden Tigers will challenge the Provo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Ogden sitting on three straight victories and Provo on four.
Ogden took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Judge Memorial Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Jonah Holmes and Kash Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Holmes pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Thompson struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, Holmes posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since April 4th. At bat, Holmes went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run, while Thompson went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Thompson has become a key player for Ogden: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-18 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dominic Piper, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Ogden's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-18 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Rodrigo Torres, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Ogden was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Provo got the win against Payson on Friday by a conclusive 9-1. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Drevin Christensen looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dawson Moore was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Allred, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Ogden's victory bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Provo, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
