Pacelli has gone 9-1 against Rosholt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cardinals will challenge the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pacelli's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Almond-Bancroft 22-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Jaden Garski was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four games. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Pacelli's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Pacelli got a massive performance out of Nate Haemmerle, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The Cardinals are undefeated when Haemmerle posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Reincke, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Rosholt made easy work of Almond-Bancroft on Tuesday and carried off an 11-1 win. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Like Pacelli, Rosholt also got a great game from a two-way player: Cash Calhoun. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Calhoun has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Nolin Betker and Matthew Ostrowski did most of the damage at the plate: Betker went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Ostrowski went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Ostrowski is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Aiden Wiza also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Rosholt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Pacelli's record is now 11-6. As for Rosholt, their record now sits at 11-5.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pacelli has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Rosholt struggles in that department as they've averaged .455. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pacelli came out on top in a nail-biter against Rosholt in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
