Aitchison continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Reeves, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Legion Collegiate Academy was the victim of a tough 51-31 defeat at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday. Legion Collegiate Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-5.
Despite the defeat, Legion Collegiate Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jaylen McMurray scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. McMurray hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Garvin, who scored eight points along with two steals.
South Charlotte T's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: South Charlotte T have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Legion Collegiate Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.1 rebounds per game.
