Gregory-Portland has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Miller Buccaneers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Gregory-Portland will be strutting in after a victory while Miller will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Gregory-Portland's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Victoria West 2-1.
Meanwhile, Miller fell victim to Ray's stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 7-0 walloping at the hands of the Texans. Miller has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gregory-Portland pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four matchups. As for Miller, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything went Gregory-Portland's way against Miller in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Gregory-Portland made off with a 9-0 victory. Will Gregory-Portland repeat their success, or does Miller have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
