Basketball Recap: Kaylee Greene Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Burns's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They ended the year with a bang, routing the Hillcrest Rams 44-24. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burns to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Greene, who posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Greene has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Wallace, who had 11 points and seven steals.

Burns' win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Hillcrest, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Burns wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-25 victory against Cherryville on the 3rd. As for Hillcrest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-39 win against Wade Hampton on the 3rd.
