Hudson Falls is a perfect 3-0 against Broadalbin-Perth since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will host the Patriots at 4:30 p.m. Hudson Falls will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Hudson Falls had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Schuylerville on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Horses with a sharp 13-4 win. Considering the Tigers have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jerusha Fairbanks was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiera Ross, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Glens Falls hit Broadalbin-Perth with a seven-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Patriots lost 17-3 to the Black Bears. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Black Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Broadalbin-Perth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrianna Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Hudson Falls pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Broadalbin-Perth's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hudson Falls has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Broadalbin-Perth, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Hudson Falls' sizable advantage in that area, the Patriots will need to find a way to close that gap.
