The Greene County Tech Golden Eagles's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sylvan Hills and snuck past 21-19. For Greene County Tech, this counts as revenge for the 35-14 defeat Sylvan Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Despite the loss, Sylvan Hills had strong showings from Kaibrein Buchanan, who rushed for 149 yards while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and Zaiden Woodard, who rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Greene County Tech's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Sylvan Hills, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Greene County Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sylvan Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
