The Rothsay Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Richland Colts at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rothsay is hoping to put an end to a 13-game streak of away losses.
Rothsay suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 72-48 loss at the hands of Wheaton/Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley/Herman-Norcross.
Richland can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood by a score of 51-42.
Casyn Syvertsen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Wulfekuhle, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Rothsay's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Richland, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
Things could have been worse for Rothsay, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 80-63 loss to Richland in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Rothsay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
