South is 10-0 against West since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The South Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the West Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. South is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Last Friday, South escaped with a win against Walnut Ridge by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52.
Maurice Mccall was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 21 points. Lajames Washington was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, West pushed their score all the way to 71 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 88-71 fall against Walnut Ridge. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while Walnut Ridge is ranked 179th).
South is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Everything came up roses for South against West in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 65-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
