Evansville Mater Dei is a perfect 10-0 against Evansville Bosse since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Evansville Mater Dei duked it out with Evansville Memorial on Friday. The Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Addi Boots spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Evansville Mater Dei saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chelsea Merkley, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Evansville Bosse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 21-3 to Wood Memorial.

Evansville Bosse's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Evansville Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Evansville Mater Dei hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Evansville Bosse struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Evansville Mater Dei's way against Evansville Bosse in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Evansville Mater Dei made off with a 19-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
