Last Saturday, King Abdullah Academy was beaten by Randolph-Macon Academy 65-12.
St. James suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 69-24 defeat at the hands of Springdale Prep. While losing is never fun, St. James can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Springdale Prep is ranked 110th).
King Abdullah Academy's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.6 points per game. As for St. James, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
King Abdullah Academy was dealt a bruising 48-6 defeat at the hands of St. James in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can King Abdullah Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
