The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Unicoi County has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Unicoi County saw an underclassman step up: Jackson Simmons scored 20 points. The matchup was Simmons' 20th in a row with at least ten points. Mason Hensley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Unicoi County's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Hampton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unicoi County will take on David Crockett at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. David Crockett is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Hampton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Happy Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
