The West Point Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by Shadow Ridge 55-7. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Point has scored all season.
Shadow Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aalayah Ramirez out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Ramirez continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Blankenship, who scored ten points along with six steals.
West Point's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for Shadow Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
West Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shadow Ridge also has no future games currently scheduled.
