4A Special District 1 recap October 29, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week, Ridgeview beat Summit 32-14. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Ravens.
Ridgeview took down the Storm 32-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tanner Stevens ran for 238 yards during the win.
Andy codding's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Stevens contributed 238 yards.
Stevens was a force in the backfield as the Ravens bested Summit.
Stevens provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Ridgeview defeated Joe Padilla's team. Stevens' key target this week was Jack Bowman, who caught 2 passes for 10 yards.
Stevens was the best running back in the league this week. Cody Simpson also contributed to the rushing game with 76 yards on the ground.
Ridgeview's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jacob Johnson has thrown for 449 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 23 catches for 384 yards.
Boomer Fleming of the the Ravens is only 91 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 125 carries Fleming has put up 909 yards this year.
Crook County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 40 points on Marshfield.
