The biggest upset of the week belonged to Heritage, who took down 63rd ranked Castle View, 35-30. Bryan Carlson threw for 51 yards and ran for 133 yards in the win.
Rock Canyon extended the longest winning streak in 5A Pioneer this week by beating Legend, 23-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Jaguars.
Cameron Glon was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles topped the Sabercats. Glon tallied three receptions for 96 yards. CJ Tomasetti helped Heritage's passing attack out by catching one ball for 60 yards.
Ryan Hommel put up the best numbers through the air as Rock Canyon defeated the Titans. He finished with 18 completions for 200 yards and one touchdown. Hommel's favorite target this week was Drew Dodd, who caught three passes for 68 yards.
Anthony Davis was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 162 yards on 17 carries as Fountain-Fort Carson beat Castle View. Ben Selby also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
Rock Canyon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hommel has thrown for 1376 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Brian Goldberg has 27 catches for 353 yards. Eric Williams leads the league in rushing with 1217 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on the Trojans. At the moment, Heritage is in fourth, while Fountain-Fort Carson is in first.
