Basketball Recap: Ponaganset Piles Up the Points Against West Warwick

With a playoff win on the line, Ponaganset rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-30 win over the West Warwick Wizards. The Chieftains have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, West Warwick saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lex Foley posted 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Foley has posted since back in December of 2024.

Ponaganset's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for West Warwick, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.

Ponaganset wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-40 win against Portsmouth on the 21st. West Warwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
