The Bell Bulldogs on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Bell suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-15 loss at the hands of Trenton. Bell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.
Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic came up short against Branford on Friday and fell 62-51.
Despite the defeat, Saint Francis Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Cyrus Fariborzian scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fariborzian has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Powers, who scored six points along with six steals.
Bell's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-18. As for Saint Francis Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Bell was dealt a bruising 60-24 loss at the hands of Saint Francis Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Bell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
