On Friday, Fairview are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Nicholas County at 7:30 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Fairview couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-37 punch to the gut against Boyd County last Friday.
Meanwhile, Nicholas County had enough points to win and then some against Pendleton County last week, winning 34-14.
Nicholas County's win lifted them to 2-0 while Fairview's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Nicholas County can add another positive mark to their record or if Fairview can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Nicholas County's step.
