The Chapin Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Newberry for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-30 win on the road. That looming 80-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Chapin yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reagan Haggard, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Haggard hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Kiley Freeman was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Chapin has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Newberry, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapin will be staying on the road on December 28th to face off against Cheraw on December 28th. As for Newberry, they will face off against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
