Lindsay Donahey put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits. Donahey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Donahey wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brooklynn Kowal, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.
Legacy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for First Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9.
Legacy Charter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: First Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .432. It's a different story for Legacy Charter, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain First Academy's hitters?
