CULVER CITY, Calif. - the Centaurs had a big 21-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 41-0 victory over Beverly Hills (Calif.).
Culver City scored on a touchdown pass by
Julius Wilson to
Xan Cuevas, a Cuevas touchdown run and a Cuevas touchdown pass to Wilson in the quarter.
CC was up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Wilson touchdown run in the first quarter.
The Centaurs expanded their lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. Culver City scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
David Handler to
Stanley Norman.
CC's standout player in the win was Cuevas. The senior quarterback threw two touchdowns, ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Centaurs had given up an average of 16.1 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Normans ended with were well below their average of 8.7 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, Culver City came away with a 43-0 victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Beverly Hills, which notched a 20-6 victory over Hawthorne in its previous outing.
