The Adirondack Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 34-27 victory over Cazenovia on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Adirondack sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
John Hennessey had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Hennessey really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
When it comes to explaining why Cazenovia lost, one person who can't be blamed is Robert Livingston. Despite the final result, he threw for 270 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Brayden Weismore also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Adirondack's victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Cazenovia, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-1.
Adirondack will head out on the road to face off against General Brown at 12:00 p.m. on November 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (General Brown is ranked 77th, while Adirondack is ranked 85th). Cazenovia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
