In what's become a running theme this season, Valley Vista gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Maricopa 85-11 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Valley Vista has posted since November 16, 2023.
Valley Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jocelyn Chavez led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Wilson, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, West Point's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-29 bruising from Maricopa.
Valley Vista pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.5 points. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
Everything came up roses for Valley Vista against West Point when the teams last played on January 5th as the squad secured a 82-10 victory.
