The Frederic Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Siren Dragons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Siren took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Frederic, who comes in off a win.
Frederic was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past Luck 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the Cardinals since September 8, 2022.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Frederic who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 18-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-10.
Meanwhile, Siren came up short against Webster on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Siren took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-13, 25-14.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 8-9. As for Siren, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Frederic was able to grind out a solid win over Siren in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 2-0. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
