Even though the Eastlake Wolves scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Inglemoor Vikings still came out on top. Inglemoor came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastlake and snuck past 57-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Inglemoor.
Reuhen Bhalod was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Inglemoor's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Clasen, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.
Despite the loss, Eastlake still got an impressive performance from Marcus Angiuli, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Angiuli pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kelyan Wandji was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Even though they lost, Eastlake were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inglemoor only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Inglemoor has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Eastlake, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7.
Inglemoor will look to defend their home court on Friday against Skyline at 8:10 p.m. Skyline presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Inglemoor in Washington (Skyline is ranked 70th, while Inglemoor is ranked 225th). As for Eastlake, they will head out on the road to face off against Redmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Redmond is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
