Baseball Recap: Logan County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Logan County entered their tilt with Christian County on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Colonels 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Colonels on April 14th, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

Mason Hancock made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hancock was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Landon Gregory was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Lyndon Wilson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Logan County's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Christian County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan County will square off against Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marshals have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Christian County, they will take on South Warren at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
