The Moss Point Tigers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Warren Central Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Moss Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Moss Point beat Wingfield 41-35. The victory was just what Moss Point needed coming off of a 43-21 loss in their prior matchup.
Quey'sean Taylor was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyrese Ricardo, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Warren Central pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Vicksburg 71-67. While losing is never fun, Warren Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Vicksburg is ranked 15th).
Moss Point's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Warren Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
