It was a good run, but The Beekmantown Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 20-0 walloping at the hands of Peru. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beekmantown in their matchups with Peru: they've now lost five in a row.
Nathan Parliament threw for 105 yards on seven of 28 attempts. Peyton Viau was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.
Among those leading the charge was Zack Engstrom, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
Beekmantown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Peru, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Beekmantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Peru will take on Ogdensburg Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ogdensburg Free Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
