The Centauri Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ignacio Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Centauri will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak alive.
Centauri posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Alamosa and snuck past 38-36.
Centauri's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie McCarroll, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. McCarroll continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Curtis, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Ignacio scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-18 victory over Bayfield at home. The win was some much needed relief for Ignacio as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Centauri's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3. As for Ignacio, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Centauri strolled past Ignacio when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 46-30. Will Centauri repeat their success, or does Ignacio have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
