It was a good run, but The Vero Beach Indians unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 22-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Treasure Coast. Vero Beach was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Treasure Coast apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Tyler Aronson threw for 120 yards and a touchdown. Machi Simmons was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Treasure Coast to victory, but perhaps none more so than George Roberts, who gained 95 total yards and two touchdowns. Treasure Coast also got a significant boost from Jamison Davis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 120 yards.
Vero Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Treasure Coast, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vero Beach will take on Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Treasure Coast will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Osceola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Treasure Coast is ranked 16th).
