It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Fernandina Beach Pirates had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the War Eagles and snuck past 3-2. Sarah Benjamin had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Fernandina Beach.
Fernandina Beach has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. As for Wakulla, they dropped their record down to 8-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Fernandina Beach will take on South Walton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. South Walton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Fernandina Beach surely won't give up without a fight. Wakulla does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
