On Thursday, Legacy Charter beat East Ridge 56-49. Given Legacy Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while East Ridge is ranked 639th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayden Richmond, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emanuel Longchamp, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Halifax Academy slipped by Wildwood 56-55 on Wednesday.
Legacy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Halifax Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
