Softball Recap: Morton Ranch Victorious

Morton Ranch took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Aldine, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Morton Ranch Mavericks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Aldine Mustangs 7-5. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Jada Etienne was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Magali Gallegos, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Morton Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .524 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Morton Ranch back to even at 3-3. As for Aldine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Morton Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-6 loss against Texas City on the 15th. As for Aldine, they have also already played their next game, a 17-0 defeat against Jersey Village on the 15th.
