After a string of four wins, the Robinson Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Wharton, falling 70-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Robinson has scored all season.
Dylan Russell and Zyon Floyd certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Russell scored six points along with six rebounds, while Floyd scored nine points. Jaden Behel was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Robinson struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Wharton, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robinson will face off against Brandon at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Brandon is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Wharton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hillsborough at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hillsborough will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Wharton is ranked 160th).
