After flying high against the Olive Wildcats last Saturday, the Sperry Pirates came back down to earth. Sperry fell just short of Bristow by a score of 47-45. It was the first time this season that Sperry let down their fans at home.
Bristow got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addi Alexander out in front who scored 16 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Abby Morgan, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Sperry's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Bristow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Sperry will look to defend their home court on Friday against Berryhill at 6:00 p.m. Berryhill is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bristow, they will head out on the road to take on Cushing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cushing will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Bristow is ranked 97th).
