Dunedin is 1-7 against Palm Harbor University since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dunedin Falcons will be playing at home against the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Dunedin: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Palm Harbor University has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
Dunedin fell victim to Calvary Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Warriors, falling 65-0. While losing is never fun, Dunedin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while Calvary Christian is ranked 54th).
Meanwhile, Palm Harbor University strolled past East Lake with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 23-7.
Will Seibert was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 93 yards and a touchdown on only seven passes.
The team's defense also helped out by holding East Lake to a paltry 233 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Palm Harbor University's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Gunner Fodor and his two sacks.
Dunedin's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Palm Harbor University, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Dunedin might still be hurting after the 27-6 defeat they got from Palm Harbor University in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Will Dunedin have more luck at home instead of on the road?
