It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Paradise Honors Panthers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Wildcats as they made off with a 8-3 victory. Considering Paradise Honors has won 14 matches by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Mesquite with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Briley Schwartz (3),
Kylee (Smalls) Gillett (3),
Jayden Murgia, and
Avery (AB) Berry.
The win (which was Paradise Honors' seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 64 goals over those seven matches. As for Mesquite, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Paradise Honors will face off against Arcadia at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Paradise Honors knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Arcadia likes a good challenge. Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
