Basketball Game Preview: Little River Redskins vs. Goessel Bluebirds

Little River is 9-1 against Goessel since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Little River Redskins will square off against the Goessel Bluebirds at 7:30 p.m. Little River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Little River came up short against St. John and fell 55-46. While the Redskins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 21-14 in the first quarter.

Logan Renken put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jaren Garrison was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Goessel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Solomon, falling 51-13. The contest marked the Bluebirds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Little River dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Goessel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything came up roses for Little River against Goessel in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-22 victory. Does Little River have another victory up their sleeve, or will Goessel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
