After two games on the road, Kennard-Dale is heading back home. They will take on The Susquehannock Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Kennard-Dale had to suffer through a rough 54-21 loss at the hands of Dover. While losing is never fun, Kennard-Dale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Dover is ranked 194th).
Meanwhile, Susquehannock made easy work of West York Area on Friday and carried off a 42-20 victory.
Susquehannock's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Pecunes, who rushed for 120 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. Pecunes was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Fox, who rushed for 172 yards while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.
Kennard-Dale's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.8 points per game. As for Susquehannock, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Kennard-Dale strolled past Susquehannock in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 43-28. Will Kennard-Dale repeat their success, or does Susquehannock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
