The McArthur Mustangs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 86-26 victory over Monarch. With McArthur ahead 61-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Jahnya Lewis had a dynamite game for McArthur, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaysia Walker, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals.
McArthur's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Monarch, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
McArthur won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chaminade-Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Monarch, they will be playing at home against Deerfield Beach at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th.
