Roby hasn't had much luck against Winters recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Blizzards at 5:00 p.m. Roby will be strutting in after a win while Winters will be coming in after a loss.
Roby took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Hawley 18-2. The Lions not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28, 2025 (when they won 18-2).

Samarra Frausteo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Roby got a massive performance out of Staleigh Young, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Kassidy Daniel was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Roby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .852. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Winters suffered their closest defeat since February 24, 2025 on Saturday. They fell just short of Sonora by a score of 9-7.
Roby's record is now 2-5. As for Winters, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Roby suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Winters when the teams last played on Thursday. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
