Football Recap: Geneseo Piles Up the Points Against Macomb

Geneseo extended their postseason success on Saturday against Macomb. They blew past the Bombers 29-0. The Maple Leafs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Jackson McAvoy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 109 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 58 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

McAvoy was just one part of a punishing run game: Geneseo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.

Geneseo's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Macomb, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-2 record.

As of now, neither Geneseo nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
